Barcelona at Night continues to be a relaxed easy going town. The traffic noise begins to be replaced by the sound of discos and concerts.
My son is becoming quite a good saxophone player. I always want to keep him apprised of job opportunities. (Actually, I'm very proud of him and envious of his musical talent.)
Then things get nutty. A parade of folks in goth clothing comes by pushing statues of satan and various demons. The parade ends up in a church plaza where they start going absolutely nuts with fireworks.
At first, I thought they were some band of satan worshippers but apparently they have this sort of thing as part of the Fiesta Merci, so I'm not too clear what it was all about.
They seemed to be staging a [mock] battle involving the various parade floats. The camera could actually see better than I could as the whole plaza was full of thick smoke from the fireworks.
It was not a survivable environment. Those sparks aren't just a trick of the camera; they were coming down all over everyone.
Here's the old guy himself. He had fireworks all over him and when they lit him up and rolled him into the battle, it was something to see, if only I could.
